Sitecore Announces 2009 Most Valuable Professionals

San Francisco, USA, & London, UK, 27 January 2010 – Sitecore , the leading provider of .NET Web Content Management System (CMS) software, today announced the 2009 Sitecore Most Valuable Professionals (MVPs). The programme recognises exceptional technical community leaders who encourage free and objective exchange of knowledge by actively sharing their real-world Web CMS expertise. For 2009, twelve outstanding individuals from around the world were selected to be members of the programme and honoured with a Sitecore Most Valuable (MVP) Award.

This year twelve individuals from various organisations worldwide were selected as Sitecore MVPs for their contributions to the Sitecore community, and are the following: Guillaume Buat-Ménard/Aqueduct, Jason Davey/Bullseye, Sebastian Winslow/Codehouse, Stefan van Dockum/Colours, Kern Herskind Hansen/Consultant, Vincent van Middendorp/Evident Interactive, Sean Kearney/Hedgehog Development, Andreas Bergström/Metamatrix, Jens Mikkelsen/Pentia, Matt Hovany/The Revere Group, Aren Cambre/Southern Methodist University and Gabriel Boys/Velir.

Individuals were nominated by Sitecore employees from around the world, and were reviewed by a board of Sitecore executives. The Sitecore judges evaluated articles, blogs and other content that addresses the challenges of development and information architecture. In addition, judges reviewed attendance and influence at events and training sessions, depth and frequency of posts in Sitecore Developer’s Forum and overall technical advocacy.

The programme offers members a number of benefits including access to technical resources such as alpha versions of Sitecore software, first release modules and full access to the Sitecore Developer Network and download section and invitations to major events. The term for Sitecore MVPs is two years, after which time, individuals can be nominated again.
